COALBROOKDALE VILLA

Bed & Breakfast

Coalbrookdale Villa is set in the quiet village of Coalbrookdale, just a mile from the historic Iron bridge. The house is a beautiful Grade II Listed Victorian Gothic style house and was built around 1860.  It was owned by the Fox-Davies family who worked for the Coalbrookdale Company:

John Fox (Maria Fox’s Father) was an Agent of the Coalbrookdale Company and Thomas Davies (who became Fox-Davies) was a Commercial Traveller - Iron for the Coalbrookdale Company.

Coalbrookdale Villa aims to provide a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Extravagantly built, as only the Victorians could, the house has many fascinating features and offers plenty of private parking spaces on the drive. Complimentary WiFi is available throughout the house and all bedrooms are equipped with flat screen smart televisions, tea and coffee making facilities (with fresh milk), fridge, complimentary toiletries, bathrobes and hairdryers.

A warm and comfortable guest lounge is provided for guests to relax and enjoy the beautiful location.  We now also have a new honour bar at your disposal, help yourself to drinks from the fridge or mix yourself a G&T, Baileys or Whiskey and just record what you have so you can pay prior to departure.

Coalbrookdale Villa is owned and managed by Victoria and Dale (along with their three friendly Newfoundland dogs).  You won't see the dogs in the house as they have no access to guest areas, but you may catch a glimpse of them mooching around in the gardens - they are easily mistaken for friendly bears.

The centre of Ironbridge is only a 10 minute walk away and this is where the world’s first Iron Bridge can be found.

Coalbrookdale Villa is well placed for visiting the 10 Ironbridge Gorge museums including, Blists Hill Victorian Town, The Museum of Iron and Jackfield Tile Museum.

Telford town centre and train station are approximately 12 minutes away by car.
